African Architecture Network

The Assignment

Project description:

This meeting is an opportunity to help reinforce sustainable development in urbanism in Africa and to improve overall quality in contemporary architecture. It is a trigger to launch exchanges and build perspectives of networks, collaborations and projects “in Africa by and for Africans”.

Goals:

The long-term goals are threefold:

To strengthen and develop the network thanks to a stronger inter-universitary collaboration.

To organize yearly seminars/conferences on certain relevant themes such as technology, urban planning and urban crisis.

To produce a travelling exhibition of great contemporary African architecture, and an award so that there is a better diffusion of contemporary production in architecture.
